August is Community Awareness Month! We are hosting an event every Tuesday in August for our church to learn about ways to, serve, and love on the lost and forgotten in our community.

Childcare will not be provided. Coffee and refreshments will be served.

Attend Tuesdays, August 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th at 6:00 pm at the Midtown Campus. To find out more information or to sign up, visit Guest Services today or lifechurchreno.com/events!

Tuesday, August 6th: Awaken. Join us to hear the heart-breaking realities of women and children who have been exploited for commercial sex. Discover the myths versus facts of Awaken’s clients, initiatives the organization is working on, and ways for you to get involved to put an end to sex trafficking in Reno.

Tuesday, August 13th: Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS). Kenny Goransen will discuss what BBBS of Northern Nevada is all about and ways you can help them achieve their goal of defending and empowering youth facing extreme adversity.

Tuesday, August 20th: Pathfinders Children’s Ministry. Chuck Grimm will present a great course titled, “Understanding the Generational Poverty Culture”. His presentation will cover the facts surrounding the horrific battles children face when trapped in generational poverty culture, and the role that Pathfinders Children’s Ministry takes to reach the forgotten kids with the Good News.

Tuesday, August 27th: Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission (RSGM) and Women’s Empowerment Center. We are very excited to hear from two of our very own LifeChurch members about the organizations they run! Luis Santoni will teach us about RSGM, the clientele they serve, and ways to get involved. Come be inspired and bring questions you have regarding the homeless population in Reno. Roxanne DeCarlo will be sharing about the Women’s Empowerment Center. The Center is dedicated to helping women who suffer from substance abuse by restoring their dignity and quality of life and by empowering women to build better futures via treatment and workforce development in a safe environment.
