Family Resources | Week of August 27

This month preschoolers are learning that God made everything. This week they see this when they learn that on day six, God made the land animals and people. He said that they were very good. Then on day seven He rested.

Lead Their Growth: Have a hand mirror nearby during bath time. Put shampoo in your child’s hair and encourage them to make silly hair styles with it. Let your child look at their hair in the mirror. Talk about how God saw everything He had made, and it was very good.

This month elementary students are learning about creativity, which is using your imagination to do something new. This week, we learned about how people used their imagination to build the Tabernacle (Exodus 25:8-9; 28:1,3; 31:1-11, 35:21,25,34; 39:42-43).  The main point was, “Use your imagination to honor God.”

Monthly Verse: “We are God’s creation. He created us to belong to Christ Jesus. Now we can do good works. Long ago God prepared these works for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10, NIrV

Lead Their Growth: Ask, “How can you use your imagination to honor God?”
