Family Resources | Week of May 21st

This month preschoolers are learning that God made them to help others. This week they see this when they learn about Timothy and Tabitha, and how God made them to help in different ways. God makes all of us unique and has different ways we can help others.

Lead Their Growth: Cuddle with your child and pray: “God, thank You for the ability to [name things your child is good at]. I pray [name of child] and I will use our abilities to help others.”

This month elementary students are learning about confidence, which is living like you believe God is with you. This week, we learned about how Peter and John were arrested for sharing about God (Acts 3-4). The main point was, “God is with you no matter what!”

Monthly Verse: “So we say with confidence: The Lord is my helper– I will not be afraid.” – Hebrews 13:6a (NIV)

Lead Their Growth: Ask, “How can we remember God is with us?” Consider placing a note somewhere your child will see (in their lunch, on a mirror, in the car) that reminds them that God is with them.
