Preschool

This month preschoolers are learning that God made them to help others. This week they see this when they learn about four friends who helped get their friend who couldn't walk to Jesus. Because they were willing to do whatever it took to help, their friend was healed by Jesus and walked out of that house.

Lead Their Growth: Lay a bath towel on the floor. Tell your child to pick some toy friends to put on the bath towel. Work together to lift the bath towel and carry the toys to bath time. Talk about how four men helped carry their friend, who couldn’t walk, to see Jesus.

Elementary

This month elementary students are learning about confidence, which is living like you believe God is with you. This week, we learned about how the Holy Spirit came onto the disciples at Pentecost (Acts 2: 1-41). The main point was, “God sent the Holy Spirit to help you.”

Monthly Verse: “So we say with confidence: The Lord is my helper– I will not be afraid.” – Hebrews 13:6a (NIV)

Lead Their Growth: Ask, “Who is the Holy Spirit?” Remind your child that the Holy Spirit is God, and consider sharing a time where the Holy Spirit helped you.
