Family Resources | Week of May 7th

This month preschoolers are learning that God made them to help others. This week they see this when they learn about a Samaritan man who chose to help a hurt man that he did not know. When the Samaritan saw that the man was hurt, he made sure the man got the help he needed. 

Lead Their Growth: While on the go, name different people we can help. Think of people at church, in your community, school, neighborhood, etc.

This month elementary students are learning about confidence, which is living like you believe God is with you. This week, we learned about how Jesus gave his disciples a mission to share His love with the world before he ascended into heaven (Matthew 28:16-20). The main point was, “Share God’s love with others.” 

Monthly Verse: “So we say with confidence: The Lord is my helper– I will not be afraid.” – Hebrews 13:6a (NIV)

Lead Their Growth: Ask, “How can you share God’s love?” Consider making it part of your rhythm to ask your child, “How did you share God’s love today?”
