Family Resources | Week of April 16th

Preschool

This month preschoolers are learning that Jesus is alive. This week they see this when they learn about how Jesus came back and made breakfast for His friends on the beach. They were amazed that He was alive, and that He loved them so much.

Lead Their Growth:
While on the go, take turns naming breakfast foods. Talk about how Jesus cooked fish and bread for breakfast for His friends, the disciples.

Elementary

This month elementary students are learning about humility, which is putting others first by giving up what you think you deserve. This week, we learned about how we can be humble like Jesus (Philippians 2:3-8). The main point was, “Put others first because Jesus put you first.”

Monthly Verse: “Don’t do anything only to get ahead. Don’t do it because you are proud. Instead, be humble. Value others more than yourselves.” Philippians 2:3 (NIrV)

Lead Their Growth: Ask, “How can you put others first this week?” Come up with a list of ideas together and follow up at the end of the week. Pray and thank God that He put us first through sending Jesus to save us.
