Family Resources | Week of January 22nd

This month preschoolers are learning that Jesus is amazing. This week they see this when they learn about when Jesus performed the miracle of helping His disciples catch so many fish. He filled their boats with such a large amount of fish that their boats began to sink! Jesus’ miracles are amazing.

Lead Their Growth: While on the go, take turns naming things that you think are amazing, like outer space, volcanoes, and cheetahs that can run super fast. Then, talk about how Jesus is amazing because Jesus has the power to do things that only He can do.

This month elementary students are learning about how knowledge comes from God. This week, we learned how Jesus was tempted in the desert (Luke 4:1-13). The main point was, “Remembering what’s true can help you make the wise choice!”

Lead Their Growth: Share with your child about a time you were tempted to make a bad choice or think a bad thought, and you remembered something true about who God is or who God says you are.
