Day 2 | Praising God For His Movement

“I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.”
Psalm 77:11-12

As we pray and fast together for a deep hunger for God this week, I realize a spirit of gratitude leads me to a greater reliance on and joy for the Lord. When I remember the ways I have seen God move, I’m more eager for the Holy Spirit to come in and act. I long for his action, his movement, and his miracles in my life – and I’m hungry for them.

As you go about your day today, ask God to bring to mind the ways he has moved in your life. Praise him and tell him you are hungry for more of his movement! Find a way to track or remember how he has answered prayer and revealed himself in your life. Maybe it’s just a note in your notes app or a page in a journal. I hang index cards on my wall so I have a tangible picture of how God has moved in my life – I can always glance up at this wall, pray for the people in my life, and remember how God has answered prayer. It brings more hunger and an expectancy for God to continue moving and revealing himself in my life.

Today try praying something like this to God: “God, renew hunger in me. Grow expectancy in me. Remind me of the ways you have moved in the past. Bring excitement to my soul for the way you will move in the future.”

Blessings,
