Family Resources | Week of December 11th

Preschool

This month preschoolers are learning that Jesus is God’s son. This week they see this when they learn about the birth of Jesus. We may have heard this story many times, but this gives us the opportunity to see the birth of Jesus through the eyes of a toddler who may be hearing this very important story for the first time.

Lead Their Growth: While on the go, tell your child the story of when they were born. Then tell them the story of when Jesus was born. Mary of Joseph went to Bethlehem. There were no guest rooms so baby Jesus was born in a stable. Mary laid Jesus in a manger, and the shepherds came to see Him.

Elementary

This month elementary students are learning about God’s greatest gift - Jesus! This week we learned about how the angels appeared to Mary and Elizabeth (Luke 1: 5-56). The main point was, “Anything is possible with God!”

Monthly Verse: “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you. He is the Messiah, the Lord.” Luke 2:11

Lead Their Growth: Ask, “What’s something that seems impossible to you?” and pray and thank God that nothing is impossible with Him.
