Family Resources | Week of October 23rd

This month preschoolers are learning that God has plans for them. This week they see this when they learn more about Joseph. Because Joseph trusted God’s plans, He was able to help out his whole family and people from all over the world.

Lead Their Growth: While your child takes a bath, add toy dishes and toy food items to bath time. As your child plays with them, talk about how God’s plan was to feed a lot of people with the food Joseph saved.

This month elementary students are learning about having grit- refusing to give up when life gets hard. This week, we learned about how God spoke to Moses through the burning bush and how God delivered the Israelites from slavery (Exodus 3, 7). The main point was “Hold on because God knows what you’re going through.”

Monthly Verse: “Let us not become tired of doing what is good. At the right time we will gather a crop if we do not give up.” -Galatians 6:9 (NIrV)

Lead Their Growth: Ask, “When have you been through a hard time?” Pray and thank God that He knows and understands all the hard times we go through.
