Family Resources | Week of October 16th

This month preschoolers are learning that God has plans for them. This week they see this when they learn about how Joseph went through really hard times. He shows us that we can trust God’s plans even when they are hard.

Lead Their Growth: While on the go, take turns naming things that are hard to do. End by talking about how we can trust God’s plans even when they are hard, like Joseph did when he was in Egypt.

This month elementary students are learning about having grit- refusing to give up when life gets hard. This week, we learned about how Jochebed did not give up on her son Moses (Exodus 1-2). The main point was “Hold on even when you do not know what to do.”

Monthly Verse: “Let us not become tired of doing what is good. At the right time we will gather a crop if we do not give up.” -Galatians 6:9 (NIrV)

Lead Their Growth: Ask, “What can we do when we don’t know what to do about a problem?” Pray and thank God that he is always with us even when we do not know what to do.
