Family Resources | Week of October 9th

This month preschoolers are learning that God has plans for them. This week they see this when they learn about how the rainbow is God’s promise to us. God keeps His promises and they are part of God’s much bigger plan for us.

Lead Their Growth: When you go into your child’s room, say: “Good morning, [Child’s name]! God knows the plans He has for us because God loves us.”

This month elementary students are learning about having grit- refusing to give up when life gets hard. This week, we learned about how Joseph forgave his brothers (Genesis 41-45). The main point was “Hold on because there’s a bigger story.” 

Monthly Verse: “Let us not become tired of doing what is good. At the right time we will gather a crop if we do not give up.” -Galatians 6:9 (NIrV)

Lead Their Growth: Ask, “When has something turned out better than you expected?” Pray and thank God that He has a bigger story than what we can see right now.
