Family Resources | Week of September 18th

This month preschoolers are learning that God loves them no matter what. This week they see this when they learn about how Moses felt frustrated when he was leading a lot of grumpy people. Moses talked to God about his frustrations and God sent people to help Moses.

Lead Their Growth: While on the go, talk about what it means to feel frustrated. It’s when something is so hard that you just want to give up. Ask your child what frustrates them, and remind them they can always talk to God about it. God loves them no matter what!

This month elementary students are learning about trusting God. This week, we looked at how God appeared to Jacob in a dream, and how God had a plan to show his love to the world (Genesis 28: 10-22). The main point was “You can trust that God has a plan.”

Monthly Verse: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 (NIrV)

Lead Their Growth: Ask, “Why are plans important?” and “How can you be a part of showing God’s love to the world?”
