Family Resources | Week of May 22nd

This month preschoolers are learning that God made everything. This week they see this when they learn that God made the animals and the people. Every time they look in the mirror, or feed their pet, they can know that God made man and this time it was very good.

Lead Their Growth: While on the go, ask your child what their favorite animal is. What does that animal say? Talk about how God made all of the animals.

This month elementary students are learning resilience -- getting back up when something gets you down. This week we learned about some heroes of our faith who kept going when it was tough (Hebrews 11) and the main point was “Trusting God can help you get back up.”

Monthly Verse: “But those who trust in the LORD will receive new strength. They will fly as high as eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not grow weak.” Isaiah 40:31, NIrV

Lead Their Growth: Ask “Who inspires you to get back up?” Have your child write a note or call a modern “faith hero” -- someone who has inspired them to see God’s love.
