Family Resources | Week of May 15th

This month preschoolers are learning that God made everything. This week they see this when they learn that God made the birds and fish. As they go out into the world and see a fish or a bird, they can know that God made everything good.

Lead Their Growth: During bath time, tell your child to pretend they are a fish and blow bubbles in the water with their mouth. Talk about how God made all the fish in the world!

This month elementary students are learning resilience -- getting back up when something gets you down. This week we learned about how Paul and Silas praised God even in prison (Acts 16:16-40) and the main point was “You can choose joy when life gets hard.”

Monthly Verse: “But those who trust in the LORD will receive new strength. They will fly as high as eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not grow weak.” Isaiah 40:31 NIrV

Lead Their Growth: Ask “What are some good things we know about God? How can we remember those things when life gets tough?” Consider making a list or an art piece with the ideas your family comes up with that you can look at in hard moments.
