Family Resources | Week of May 8th

Preschool
This month preschoolers are learning that God made everything. This week they see this when they learn that God made the land, plants, sea, sun, moon and stars. When they sit under a tree or gaze at the moon and stars, they can know that God made everything.
Lead Their Growth: When you go into your child’s room, say: “Good morning! Look out of your window. God made the sky and the sun, the moon and the stars, and God made you, too.”

Elementary
This month elementary students are learning about resilience -- getting back up when something gets you down. This week we learned about how Peter and John kept telling others about Jesus even when they were arrested (Acts 3:1-4:21) and the main point was “Keep going even when it’s tough.”
Monthly Verse: “But those who trust in the LORD will receive new strength. They will fly as high as eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not grow weak.” Isaiah 40:31 NIrV
Lead their Growth: Ask “When have you decided to keep going?” Try doing some fun physical challenges like wall sits or a jumping jack challenge and encourage your child to keep going even when it’s tough.
