Family Resources | Week of April 17th

Preschool

This month preschoolers are learning that Jesus wants to be my friend forever. This week starts out sad, but they learn that Jesus is alive and that is how He can be our friend forever.

Lead Their Growth: Cuddle with your child and pray: “God, thank you that Jesus lived, died, and came back just like He said He would. Thank you that Jesus is alive and He wants to be our friend forever.”

Elementary

This month elementary students are learning hope -- believing something good can come out of something bad. This week we looked at the story of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection (John 18:1 - 20:18) and the main point was “Whatever happens, remember Jesus is alive.”

Monthly Verse: “In this world you will have trouble. But be encouraged! I have won the battle over the world.” John 16:33b NIrV

Lead Their Growth: Ask “Why is it good news that Jesus is alive?” You can even make these resurrection rolls as a fun snack and demonstration of the Easter story.

Students

This week, we'll see what happened on Easter Sunday and what it means for us – Jesus is alive! We’re looking at Luke 24:1-12, 1 Corinthians 15:21-26, and Romans 7:21-25.

Lead Their Growth: So if it’s true that Jesus is alive, what’s one thing you and your student can do this week to respond to that truth? Help your student work through this and encourage them in their next step. You can use this Bible app plan to follow along in this series with your student.
