Family Resources | Week of March 20th

This month preschoolers are learning that everyone can be friends with Jesus. This week they see this when we learn about how Jesus asked all 12 of His disciples to follow Him. Jesus knew them all, and all of their mistakes, but still He chose them. He wants us to know that truly everyone can be friends with Jesus.

Lead Their Growth:
Ask your child to name people they know. Talk about how they are friends and how everyone can be friends with Jesus.

This month elementary students are learning cooperation, working together to do more than you can alone. This week they see how four friends helped a paralyzed man get to Jesus so he could be healed.

Monthly Verse: “Two people are better than one. They can help each other in everything they do.” Ecclesiastes 4:9 NIrV

Lead Their Growth: Who do you know who needs help? Help your child think of ways they could help that person.

This week in Student Ministry we’ll be discussing what Jesus meant when He told us to lay down our lives for each other. We’ll discover how to make a habit of investing in our relationships.

Lead Their Growth: Ask your student about a habit that will help them invest in their relationships and friendships. Help them find a way to stick with this habit. For scripture to go over as a family, you can look at John 15:9-13, Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, and Proverbs 27:17. You can also use the Bible plan on YouVersion here.
