Family Resources | Week of February 27th

Preschool
This month preschoolers are learning that Jesus loves everyone. This week we are learning more about our memory verse 1 Corinthians 16:14, “Do everything in love.” We can love like Jesus when we do everything in love.

Lead their growth: While on the go, ask your child: “Who are your favorite friends to play with? What are some ways we can love our friends?”

Elementary
This month elementary students are learning to have compassion- caring enough to do something about someone else’s need. This week they see how Jesus stopped what he was doing to help others, and how we can all make time to help others.

Monthly Verse: “The Lord has shown you what is good. He has told you what he requires of you. You must act with justice. You must love to show mercy. And you must be humble as you live in the sight of your God.” Micah 6:8, NIrV

Lead their growth: When has someone made time for you? Ask your kid to think of the things they spend the most time doing. Help them think of ways they could spend a little less time doing those things so they can do something to help others.

Youth
In Student Ministry this week, we'll be talking about how God moved the Israelites from Egypt to the Promised Land. Just like we see in this section of Scripture, we can trust God to walk with us through times of transition and remember that He will provide everything we need.

Lead Their Growth:
For Scriptures to go over as a family, we recommend looking at Exodus 14:10-20, Exodus 16, Numbers 13:30-33, and Joshua 24:11-13. For further discussion with your student this week, ask them about an area where they feel like they're in a transition. Ask them how you can help remind them that God will provide for them this week.
