God is Trinity. He has eternally existed in three distinct persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three, the Godhead, are one in essence and nature. God the Father made everything that exists. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was sent by God the father to save sinners. He was born to the Virgin Mary. He lived a perfect life. He willfully gave his life and died on the cross. He rose from the dead on the third day. Jesus Christ will physically return one day to judge the living and dead. The Holy Spirit lives inside every Christ Follower. He empowers us to follow Christ, He helps us understand the Bible, and He gifts us to serve God.
About the Bible
The Bible is God’s Word. It is completely true. Scripture is our ultimate standard in what we believe and do.
God loves people and made people in His image, but through willful disobedience all people became sinful and are separated from God. Apart from Christ all people deserve to die and go to hell.
Salvation is made available as God’s free gift to us through Jesus’ death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead. For people to receive this free gift of salvation they must put their faith in Christ and turn from their sins.
All true Christ followers will follow Christ forever. Because of salvation people don’t have to die and go to hell, but instead can have eternal life in heaven with God.
About the Church
A New Testament church is a body of believers, baptized by immersion, associated for worship, service, and the spread of the Gospel to the whole world. The Lord Jesus Christ instituted two ordinances to be observed by the church: baptism and communion.
